The Subaru Outback is the ultimate crossover SUV for drivers with an active lifestyle. It offers wagon-like styling, smart features, and rugged capabilities. In 2025, the two-row, midsize Outback crossover is available in nine trim levels. The Premium trim level is a popular option with numerous upgrades for you to enjoy. The 2025 Outback Premium is unchanged from the 2024 version.
Under the hood, the Subaru Outback Premium draws 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque from a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This trim level comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission and gets a boost of functionality from its all-wheel drivetrain.
The Subaru Outback is styled with elevated ground clearance for added performance capabilities. This is combined with a long, tapered roof and raked side windows for a lean look. The sides offer only a touch of crisp accentuation. They are also boldly designed with rigorous body molding that expands over the lower door panels, fenders, and front end. At the front, the molding rises up to support the edgy LED headlights and also wraps around the foglights. The wide grille features an expanded, honeycomb-style mesh pattern. The Outback Premium's exterior features are heated side mirrors, tinted rear mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, 17-inch alloy wheels, and roof rails with crossbars.
The Outback Premium's interior has a strong combination of standard features. These include an 11.6-inch touch display screen, a six-speaker sound system, a leather-covered steering wheel, a two-zone auto climate control system, heated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, lane centering, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and cloth upholstery. Two optional packages are available as well, and these give you a power sunroof, a navigation system, evasive steering assistance, a blind-spot warning, a hands-free liftgat,e and a rear cross-traffic alert.
