Serving Fairfax, VA

The Subaru Outback is the sporty wagon that has been impressing local drivers for more than 25 years, and it now has more appeal than ever, thanks to a few notable updates. Subaru released the fourth generation of the Outback in 2020, so both the 2021 and 2022 Outback versions are part of this generation. However, there are several improvements to the 2022 Outback that give it distinction. After learning about the 2021 and 2022 Outback in detail, which wagon will you pick out from our inventory at Farrish Subaru?

Performance

One of the most exciting differences between the 2021 and 2022 Outback versions is introducing the new Wilderness trim option for the latest model year. This option is equipped with a 260-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine. This engine is also in the XT trim level for 2021 and 2022. The Wilderness trim level has 9.5 inches of ground clearance, and this is slightly above the ground clearance for the other trim levels. For both 2021 and 2022, the different trim levels have a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter gas engine that delivers 182 horsepower.

Appearance

There are subtle differences between the trim levels for 2021 and 2022, but Subaru has not made any exterior changes to the Outback between these two model years. The exception is found with the all-new Wilderness trim level. It has thicker molding and better-defined front and rear bumpers. All trims have H-shaped LED ribbons in the headlights, raised roof rails, power-adjusting side mirrors, and other equipment.

Features

If you decide to buy the 2022 Outback Wilderness, your new wagon will come with all-weather floor mats, StarTex water-repellant material, and copper-colored stitching. Throughout some or all of the 2021 and 2022 trim levels, the Outback has heated, powered seats, USB ports, EyeSight safety assist features, a push-button ignition, an 11.6-inch color display, Android Auto, a sound system, Apple CarPlay, and more.

Our Farrish Subaru sales agents are thrilled to meet with you soon, and we will happily show off all that the new Outback Wilderness offers when you stop by the dealership for a test drive.
