What's New for the 2022 Subaru Outback?
Do you have your eye on a new Subaru Outback? For 2022, the Outback is a sixth-generation wagon with eight available trim levels. All trim levels have X-Mode and all-wheel drive, and there are two available powertrains. 2022 Subaru Outback
The Base is equipped with a 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter, Boxer four-cylinder engine. It is paired with the continuously variable transmission, all-wheel drive, hill descent control, and X-Mode. Inside the cabin, you will find desired features like two 7-inch display screens, StarLink, Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, the Base trim level has a rear camera, EyeSight safety features, LED steering-responsive headlights, and high beam assist.
2022 Subaru Outback Premium
The All-Weather Package that is optional for the Base level is standard in the Outback Premium. It gives you a two-zone auto climate management system, power adjustments for the driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and two rear USB ports. Options for the Premium trim level are:

At this trim level and up, the Outback comes with a dual-function X-Mode system, a continuously variable transmission, and a turbo 2.4-liter engine that produces 260 horsepower. Standard equipment introduced at this trim level includes:

2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness
This trim level is designed for off-road driving with 9.5 inches of ground clearance, 17-inch wheels, all-terrain Geolandar tires, coil springs, and dampers. It also comes with copper exterior trim pieces and a ladder-style roof rack.
2022 Subaru Outback Limited XT
The Limited XT adds the turbocharged engine to the Limited’s long list of features. In addition, it introduces standard equipment like a power moonroof, an 11.6-inch color display screen, a heated steering wheel, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
2022 Subaru Outback Touring XT
The Touring XT builds on the Touring trim level’s features. Specifically, it adds the 260-horsepower turbo engine.
