What's New for the 2023 Subaru Outback?

For years, the Outback has been a popular Subaru crossover with tremendous appeal to Fairfax-area drivers. For example, the exterior style of the 2023 Subaru Outback has been updated slightly. For 2023, the Outback boasts ample ground clearance and lower-body molding for functionality. This combines a short, rounded nose and a tall, tapered roofline. The small grille sits above an athletic bumper, and LED-adorned headlights accompany it. Some of the 2023 Outback's exterior features in select or all trim levels include all-terrain tires, up to 18-inch wheels, a roof rack, flared fenders, a sunroof, power-folding, heated side mirrors, LED foglights, and more.

The Outback's interior and safety features have also been updated since the preceding model was introduced. Specifically, the updates include the debut of wireless smartphone integration with an updated infotainment system and the availability of enhanced collision mitigation in the Touring trim. Base-level features for the 2023 Outback include:

• A pair of 7-inch display touch screens

Higher trims give you a single 11.6-inch display screen, heated front seats, a dual-zone climate control system, a rear cross-traffic alert for the blind-spot monitor, a hands-free liftgate, an integrated navigation system, and more.

The performance abilities of the 2023 Outback have not changed. Most trims receive 182 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The highest trim levels have a turbo 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 260 horsepower. All-wheel drive and hill descent control are standard across the board. Higher trim levels have a lifted suspension, an upgraded all-wheel drive system, a front skid plate, and more driving modes.
