2024 Subaru Crosstrek vs 2024 Subaru Outback
Serving Fairfax, VA
Subaru models like the Crosstrek and the Outback are rightfully respected for their brilliant engineering and overall excellent capabilities in various driving conditions. The Crosstrek is a well-equipped, compact crossover that sits below the Outback in the lineup. With notable similarities and exciting differences between these popular models, our Farrish Subaru team is ready to help you discover which is right for you.
Performance
If you opt for the 2024 Crosstrek, you have two powertrains available. These are a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 152-horsepower system and a 2.5-liter, 182-horsepower alternative. All Crosstrek crossovers come with a CVT and all-wheel drive. The 2024 Outback, on the other hand, has the same 182-horsepower engine as its base engine. The higher trim levels feature a turbo 2.4-liter, 260-horsepower system. Like the Crosstrek, all Outback trim levels have a CVT and all-wheel drive.
Appearance
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek has an aerodynamic, confident look with strong angles through the profile and extensive molding from end to end. Its personality shines through with its angular wheel wells and standout grille mesh. The 2024 Outback straddles a space between a wagon and a crossover, and it is styled with a low-profile, tapered roof and subtly accented sides. The Outback has similar, edgy molding over the wheel wells, also pronounced over the lower door panels and underneath the headlights. Both models have a sunroof, roof rails, fog lights, and a power liftgate.
Features
Both the 2024 Crosstrek and the 2024 Outback are impressively equipped across their trim levels and share numerous features. Both are available with StarTex upholstery, a Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless charging station, wireless smartphone app connections, an 11.6-inch central display screen, USB ports, lane centering, heated front seats, a blind-spot warning, a push-button ignition, forward collision mitigation and numerous others. Some Outback trims also are available with a front-view camera, a digital rear mirror, and heated rear seats.
