Serving Fairfax, VA

Deciding between the 2020 Subaru Forester and the 2020 Toyota RAV4 is not easy to do. Before you learn more about their features and abilities, you may assume that they are relatively comparable in essential areas. However, the Forester has a slightly lower base MSRP than the RAV4. The price difference only scratches the surface of their many differences.

Exterior

From end to end, the 2020 Forester’s profile flows with confident angles. Its aerodynamic façade is coupled with LED headlights, black body molding, chrome accents on the lower front air vents, and molded wheel fenders. In comparison, the 2020 RAV4 from Toyota has long, linear elements with rigid angles. Depending on the trim selected, the RAV4 may have raised roof rails, foglamps, and power-adjusting side mirrors.

Interior

The Forester and the RAV4 are two-row SUVs with the functionality of a folding second row. They are both offered with cloth or leather material, a color display screen, and smart device integration. The 2020 Forester is also available with sport cloth in mid-level trims. Some of the Forester’s trims may come with STARLINK tech, a high-level sound system, rotary knobs for the driver mode selector, a power sunroof, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel and other equipment. The RAV4’s display screen is mounted at an angle above the dashboard. The center stack is divided by air vents and a linear element. Additional features in the RAV4 are a climate control system, power windows, USB ports, and a few other items.

Safety

All trims for the 2020 Subaru Forester come with EyeSight Assist technologies. These standard safety features are a sway warning, lane departure alert, a pre-collision braking system, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assistance. The Toyota RAV4, on the other hand, comes with tire pressure monitoring, airbags, the Star safety system, and a few additional standard features.
