2023 Subaru Crosstrek vs 2023 Subaru Forester

Serving Fairfax, VA

The 2023 Subaru Crosstrek and the Forester are well-equipped models that have been boldly engineered to perform well in various driving conditions. The Crosstrek is a subcompact model that starts off Subaru's crossover line, while the Forester is a compact crossover between the Crosstrek and the Outback in the lineup. You can count on our sales reps at Farrish Subaru to help you get familiar with the differences between these popular options.

Performance

The 2023 Crosstrek has two engine options. These are a 2.0-liter, 152-horsepower engine and a 2.5-liter, 182-horsepower alternative. The base engine is available with a CVT or six-speed manual transmission, and the top engine is only paired with a CVT. The CVT has an X-Mode off-road driving mode. In comparison, all 2023 Forester trims have a 182-horsepower engine and a CVT. The Crosstrek and the Forester have standard all-wheel drive for all trims.

Appearance

A sporty, sleek profile and ample ground clearance define the Crosstrek's style. Three accent lines on the sides highlight its athleticism. The nose displays a small grille with a robust bumper. This bumper links to dramatic foglight ports with metallic, L-shaped elements. The triangle-like headlights feature an innovative, forked ribbon of LED lighting. Conversely, the Forester displays a stunning angle through the hood and a tall cabin. The sides are smooth and dressed up by aggressive body molding. This molding expands over the large bumper and angles over the foglight portals. An LED bar accends the small, diamond-shaped headlights on three sides.

Features

The 2023 Forester and the Crosstrek are two-row models, offering drivers and passengers many of the same features. Some of these include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an auto climate control system, a sunroof, heated seats, EyeSight Assist safety technologies, Starlink connected services, a keyless ignition, leather seats, auto braking, a navigation system, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, and a few other items. If you opt for the Forester, your crossover could have a power liftgate, a drowsy driver monitor, and heated rear seats.
