2024 Subaru Impreza vs 2024 Subaru Legacy

Serving Fairfax, VA

Over several decades of history, the Subaru Outback has evolved from a wagon to a midsize SUV. With frequent updates to the style, engineering, and features, the Outback's appeal with local drivers has endured across six generations. Between the 2023 and 2024 model years, however, Subaru has only introduced updates to the Wilderness trim level. What will you find when you explore the current Outback?

Performance

Both of these Outback model years are outfitted with a standard 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 182 horsepower. An upgraded turbo four-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine is available and gives you 260 horsepower. These systems both come with standard all-wheel drive as well as a CVT. Select trims add an off-road suspension, higher ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and an enhanced drivetrain with a low-ratio setting.

Appearance

Overall, the Subaru Outback crossovers for 2023 and 2024 are distinctive and athletic with the same molded accentuation over the lower door surfaces, the fenders, and the bumper. The profile is undeniably lean and sporty, and this complements the creases running across the doors. If you prefer to drive the 2024 Outback Wilderness, your SUV will have a reshaped grille and bumper. Some trims are also available in 2023 and 2024 with a power liftgate, heated external mirrors, and roof rails.

Features

There are no changes to the feature availability for the Outback between the 2023 and 2024 model years. The Outback's available or included features are water-repellent or leather upholstery, a navigation system, pedestrian detection, a digital rearview mirror, a sunroof, a heated steering wheel, rear auto braking, front and rear heated seats, driver's memory settings, evasive steering assist, a blind-spot monitor, up to an 11.6-inch display screen, wireless connectivity for the smart device apps, adaptive cruise control and numerous other features.
