The 2025 Outback retains the same trim level lineup as the 2024 model, with options including the base, Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited, Touring, Onyx Edition XT, Wilderness, Limited XT, and Touring XT. The base powertrain remains unchanged—a 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. For 2025, a notable change is that the more powerful engine option, a 260-horsepower, turbocharged 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine, is now available for the Limited trim. This engine continues to be standard on the Wilderness and XT trims. Both engines pair with a CVT and come standard with all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The iconic design of the Subaru Outback remains consistent between the 2024 and 2025 models. The Outback features a sleek, tapered profile with bold molding around the wheel wells and front end. The grille narrows to sharp points on the sides, featuring a staggered, honeycomb-like mesh design. The molding accentuates the circular fog lights and sits below the LED headlights, maintaining the Outback's rugged and stylish look.

The 2025 Outback introduces several updates, particularly in the Limited trim. New features include an 11.6-inch infotainment system screen, a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, a power sunroof, and a driver attention monitor.
